I am feeling like I am finally making progress on some Christmas presents. YAY!! I have a few more things to do so I can take them to Kansas when I go, but I am thinking (more like hoping) I will be able to get them all done and not have to end up shipping anything over there for Christmas this year.
I think when I go I am going to try and pack my clothes (for the 4 days I will be there) in a carry on and then pack everything I need to take to her in a suitcase, that way I will not have to pay the ridiculous price of 50.00 for a second suitcase.
I got Kendon's party favors for his birthday in the mail a few days ago now I just need to make the camo pants for all 12 of the kids (am I a little crazy or what?). Luckily I have until the end of January for his.
I really should be worring about Andren's and Bricanie's right now. Since I need to get some overalls (is that what I am supposed to call them Jenn? I can never remember LOL) made for him. The kids and I decided he is going to have a train party (NOT THOMAS THE TRAIN, just a plain old train party). My mom happened to have blue and white striped denim at her house so that worked out good. I also got some train whistles from oriental when I got Kendon's stuff. And I of course am still trying to plan his I mean really what can you do for a 2 year olds party?
Bricanie is having a Harry Potter party and I have a ton to do on that but have not started, well that is not true I did buy the black fabric to make the 12 HP Robes. I have some other ideas for her party but I am trying to make sure everything is just right.
Dale always makes fun of me because I go all out and spend way to much on the kids' parties, but to me it should be a big deal and an event they will remember and so far they can rememeber all of their Birthdays and what we did (well at least from the age of 3 or 4). I love doing parties I just wish I had more money to do more.
In fact speeking of parties the kids' and I are going to do another Halloween Party again this year, we did one last year and I think it went over fairly well. I am trying to decide what games we should play or If I want to send them on a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood. I also thought (even though it will be a bit cold, we could do some games outside) I will have to see, But that is another thing I have to do before I leave for Kansas (Have the party planned and Invitaions ready to go out).
Now this is really off the subject but I was online last night(of course) and found a thing where you can have your blog made into a book, and I thought it was kind of strange, but cool. Here is the link if anyone wants to see it . It is called Blurb http://www.blurb.com/create/book/blogbook.
Ok I guess I should go be a good mom and take care of my kids, who I am sure are making a huge mess downstairs.
couple of things :D
ReplyDeleteSmiths marketplace had the stripe overalls (yes you got it right :D) - back in the baby section on the oshkosh wall and I *think* they're 50% off this week so only like $13-$15.
2nd, my sister said she can get those scarves done for you but the yarn will be about $36 for all 12 of them....she's not charging to do them just for the yarn so we need to let her know if you want her to do them or not :D
