Wait...

Before you start reading, you might want to prepare yourself. Go grab some snacks, a drink, a pillow, a blanket if you need one, go to the bathroom, and maybe even put on your pajamas, Go ahead I will wait, cause it is going to be a LONG post.

waiting .............................................................................................................................................................

Ok now that you should have everything you need to start reading,

Here is your last warning, I have not posted in over a month but have tons of things to post about, So if you dare continue be warned, if you don't then I will understand just have to cry.

I will start with the most recent and work my way backwards. I think that is how I want to do it.

April 22- Since Daxton started crawling a few weeks ago, he is ALL over the house and half the time I will put him in one place and end up asking the kids if they know where the baby is, cause he crawls away. So he was playing in his room while I was doing some stuff and when I couldn't find him I started looking all over in the usual places and here is where I found him.
Under the table... looking at me with that *oh no I got caught look* As cute as he was, I was so annoyed because he had found something on the floor to eat, and I had vacuumed the floor not once, not twice, but three times already because he kept finding stuff on the floor.

He cried when I took him out but as soon as he made his way back under he was very happy.

April 17- So these next pictures may take you by surprise,or you may have already seen them on face book and so you already know.  On Friday we doubled our family by adding 7 of these...

Meet Charlie- this is Daxton's chicken, it is a plymoth barred rock if you care.
Bricanie picked out the Silver Lace Wyandott and named her Trixi

Crispy, she is Dales, and I am not sure why he named her that but he did. She is a black austrolorpe
This is Jazzy and she belongs to Kierra. She is a Rhode Island Red

Here is Kendon with his that he named Ashley. she is a white leg horn and is the only one that will lay white eggs, the rest will lay brown.
Here are the twins. Mine and Andren's. There is a way to tell them apart just not in this picture, so Mine is Zoe, and Andren's is at first was Gabby, then Dora, and now it is back to Gabby. They are Buff Orpingtons.

So yes we have chickens. I know crazy. I am not sure why we have chickens, except one day Dale went to IFA to get some parts for the dog kennel and saw them and texted me a picture and said "want chickens" and I made the mistake of replying "Cute, Yes" even though I was COMPLETELY joking. And that was enough to start the idea forming in his head. So he started researching them and making me talk to everyone we knew who had chickens. And long story short, he won and we have 7 chickens. The kids absolutely LOVE them. In fact since we got them, Bricanie goes out to the garage and does her homework by the chickens.

April 12- Took Daxton in for his 9 month check up and he ended up having another ear infection so they put him on omnicef. He had only been off antibiotics for 4 days before he started pulling on his ear again. Anyway he weighed 16 lbs. 13 oz. and is 27 and 1/4 inches long. The dr. was a little concerned because his growth curve is starting to flatten out instead of follow the curve, so she said to try and feed him more.

Good luck with that- He doesn't eat  solid food more than once a day. I have tried, but will continue to try.

April 11- Since we had Conference on Easter Sunday, the kids did not get to wear their Easter dresses, until today.
Love the squinting eyes... it was actually quite cold and windy.

Kendon with a cheesy smile and squinty eyes too
Kierra. I don't know why she didn't have squinty eyes.
Daxton, who was not happy at all and this was the best picture I could get. It didn't help that I was pretty sure at this point he had had another ear infection which turned out that I was right.
Here is Mr. Grumpy Gus Andren. I couldn't even tell you what his problem was. He was just grumpy ALL day.

April 4- Easter morning. Man this was a crazy day. Not only was it Easter but it was Conference weekend as well, plus we had my In-laws over for Dinner and an egg hunt. So needless to say I will be reading all the Conference talks when they come out, since I can not tell you anything they talked about.

Here are pictures from Easter Morning
The kids waiting patiently at the top of the stairs to see if the Easter Bunny came. (don't mind the patch work wall, one day I will get around to painting it.)

Instead of helping find eggs, Daxton helped take them out after the kids would put one in.
Every year,(even when I was a kid) the Easter bunny ties your basket to a string and loops it through the house and then you have to follow your string to find your basket. So here is Andren following his string.
Uh-Oh Bricanie and Kendon get their strings tangled together.
Don't be fooled, he really is taking it out, not putting it away.
Kierra, having a battle with all of her string.

April 3-Easter egg hunt and coloring eggs.
I did an egg hunt for the kids friends. We had 27 or so kids come and over 600 filled eggs.
I do two different types of hunts. First we do a clue hunt, there are 6 different color eggs, and 4 clues for each color they have to follow the clues until they find the last one and it tells them to go to the back door and do or say something to get a prize. When they are done with one color they do the next color. Each group ends up doing all 6 colors, and getting 6 prizes.

Then we do just the normal one and hide candy filled eggs around the yard or for the little ones the front grass.

While we were out doing an egg hunt Grandma was supposed to be watching Daxton and I came into find this

Grandma feeding Daxton a cupcake and then this
letting him do it himself.

After all the friends left, We did tacos and taquitos with My family and then still colored eggs with my kids.

Bricanie enjoying coloring eggs

Dad and Andren coloring eggs. Andren just wanted to put a little line of color on an egg and move onto the next one.
And Daxton eats the egg instead of colors it.
Dale made "RODEBACK" eggs.

April 2- Daxton's new favorite toy since we got them out is the plastic easter eggs. So we decided to let him play with them as long as he wanted.

So we put him in the bucket of eggs and let him play.
and play
and play until he sunk to the bottom of the box and was playing for a good 20 mins

March 24-27- St. George. Dance Competition
We went down to St. George for Bricanie's dance competition. While we were there we went to snow canyon, cause it was closer than zions.  It was perfect weather, it wasn't very hot and a perfect day to hike.
The only thing not perfect about the whole trip is Daxton got sick the day we got down there. He ended up having an ear infection.

Here are some pictures
We started out with a very short, easy trail cause we were not sure how ALL the kids would do. Now don't pass out there is actually a picture of me. I am not sure how exactly it happened, but it did.

Here are the kids up on a rock
Kierra in a cave

Kendon in a small cave
The boys climbing to a higher cave with the help of daddy
Bricanie sitting on the floor of a small cave cause she didn't want to climb.
Daxton sitting in the opening of a small cave.
Even though you can not tell from the picture they climbed up a ways
Here is the same place as the above picture. But look I am in another picture. this might be a record.
See the tree growing in the middle of the rocks
The kids decided to try and climb straight up this rock to get to some little caves.
They were a little upset when Dale got up higher than they did

Here the kids are up another part of the trail.

Here is another area we went to and they climbed all the way to the top and walked around the other side with Dale, while I sat in the car and fed Daxton
This is the kids at the top of the inactive volcano that we decided to try and hike up. We didn't think all the kids would make it up but they did. It was pretty steep in a lot of areas, but they all did great. Coming down was another story though. I fell, and then Bricanie fell in the exact same place.
Here is the view from the top of the volcano looking out.
Bricanie took this picture for us. What? a third picture of me all in the same day. How CRAZY is that
On our way down, Kendon found a little lizard and was sure that he was going to be able to catch it, but with no luck he had to give up
And this ladies and gentlemen, is the volcano from the bottom looking up. It does not seem that high in the picture but it really was. We can now say that we all hiked to the top of a volcano and back down.

After an enjoyable day of hiking we got back to the hotel and the kids wanted to go swimming so we took them swimming. Of course the one time I don't bring my swimming suit on vacation we go swimming. All the other times we have been on vacation I take my swimming suit and we have NEVER gone not once.
Bricanie in the pool
Kierra and Andren swimming sitting on the stairs of the pool
Daxton actually happy despite not feeling well. He didn't get to go swimming though
Andren trying to warm up
What better way to warm up than the hot tub. He had fun making bubble beards
Kendon spent most of his time in the hot tub rather than in the pool

It was a fun, laid back trip aside from the fact that Daxton was grumpy and did not feel well. It was nice not to have to wake up at the crack of dawn to run to place to place, we went down with no real plans other than the dance competion.  While we were down there we also went and saw How to Train Your Dragon with the kids' cousins (who were down their for competition too). And Bricanie took second place in her competition.
