So a while back I started late nights with the kids. The older three each have a night that they get to stay up an hour later with mom and dad...if he is home. They pick what we do. If they want to play a game, watch tv, whatever it is they decide.
Tonight was Bricanie's late night and she decided she wanted to do a project. She works in the library at her school during recess and had found a book on recycled crafts so when we went to the public library she immediately went and found it and checked it out. I believe there are 3 books that she found and each one uses a different product such as water bottles, old t-shirts, and jeans. The one she chose to do was jeans
She had a binder that she has to use for her science project and decided she wanted to cover it in an old pair of jeans. I happened to be getting rid of a pair of Kendon's so we used them and while it worked we had to piece it together, using both of the legs, so I would recommend if you try this use an adult size pair of jeans.
She happened to have some iron on decals that came with a bag she got a while back and has never used so we just cut those out and ironed them on and added a pocket to the front.
I love how it turned it out and had a lot of fun helping her make it.
She is already planning her next recycled craft project.
