Almost Forgot

So I just realized that I forgot to post about Daxton's Dr appointment on Monday. He had to go back in for a follow up because his spleen and liver were enlarged. Well the Dr. checked them again and they are still enlarged.

She decided that she wanted to run some tests, so she had us go over to IMC for a blood draw. The tests they were running,at least that I can remember, were a CBC, EBV(Epstein Barr virus), CMV(Cytomegalovirus), Mono, and Leukemia  they were also running two other tests, but I didn't listen to what they were after she mentioned Leukemia.

So we got most of the results back late Monday, but the more serious ones, like Leukemia, We didn't get back until yesterday afternoon

So all of the tests came back negative, which was such a relief as I have been stressing for days. The only thing they did find was that he is anemic, but that is not the cause of the enlarged spleen and liver

Well they wanted us to go in and have an ultrasound done on his stomach to check for tumors and masses, so this afternoon I took him into Primary Children's at Riverton Hospital. He had to fast for 6 hours. Poor thing was so grumpy when we got there and screamed the minute I laid him on the table and didn't stop until the end of the test.

They had the radiologist come in and read it and they told me that both things were enlarged, but they did not see any tumors or masses that would be causing it. So we are once again back to not know what is going on, but his Dr's office called and said she wants to run more tests on him and will be calling me Monday to let me know the next step.

Which I think will be a liver functioning test. Not sure what that entails, but when I find out I will let you know.
