Baby update

I had my amnio yesterday to see if the baby's lungs were developed. If they were developed the plan was to induce me on Friday the 17th.. After having the test done, they sent me down to Labor and Delivery for a non stress test. Which I ended up being at for over 2 hours because the amnio had started some contrations that were 3-5 minutes apart and increasing in pain as they continued.They had to decide if they would keep me or send me home. Obviously they sent me home and told me if they got worse to go back in. Luckily they stopped a few hours later.

 Well the Dr called  today and said that they are not quite mature and he would like to give her another week before she is delivered.

So that means, I am now scheduled to have her Tuesday the 23rd. They will not have to repeat the amnio, they will just induce me.

As much as I didn't want to hear this, I think in the back of my mind I was expecting it, because when he told me I would have to wait a little bit longer I was ok with it. Would I like to be done sooner than later? Yes, but it is actually working out better since Dale has to work Sunday and Monday and wasn't able to trade. Plus with my mom being so sick and class parties, and the Blue and Gold banquet this week, I was getting a little stressed, not to mention that until yesterday we did not have a car seat.

So unless she decides that she is coming on her own(which I am not worried about at all) or if the hospital gets to busy we should be having a baby Tuesday Feb 23.
